A permit describes an assembly conversion. A license records a bar expansion. The useful question is which changes fit the rooms your company equips. ## The flagship tool: new-venue permit and license watch **Your question:** “Who is building a room for a crowd near me this month, before the AV spec is set?” **What it collects:** Raleigh building permits and New York liquor licenses provide a starting territory. Each city needs its own field map and terms check. A territory without a collector says “not covered.” The collector separates new assembly use, expansion, and renovation from renewals and repair work. A church being converted into apartments is a rejected candidate. A keyword alone cannot establish venue demand. **The join to your records:** normalize jurisdiction, permit IDs, parcel IDs, license numbers, site numbers, addresses, and dates. Raleigh permits and New York licenses are separate territories. Match permit and license events only where verified sources cover the same location and time window. Join each candidate to your existing project and account records, then flag existing relationships and duplicate events for review. **Output and cadence:** collect daily. Produce a weekly project queue with source passages, dates, stage, and missing facts. Flag stage changes on watched projects the same day. Room size, power, mounting, and budget remain unknown until confirmed. **Who directs and who checks:** the owner sets territory and venue types. A sales engineer checks project fit and existing relationships before anyone contacts a business. **Why it compounds:** keep which signals became real briefs, how long each stage took, and why false positives were rejected. Public records remain available to others. Your qualification history stays with your company. This design has two working functions: source collection with event history, and a venue qualification queue. ## Two more tools ### Public AV buyer history “Which public buyers keep paying for room systems like ours?” Search USAspending award records and match relevant descriptions to your project categories. A person checks scope and buyer identity. Award history describes previous spending; it does not establish an open bid. ### Installed-system lifecycle watch “Which installed systems need a support-status review?” Match exact models in your asset list to [manufacturer lifecycle notices](https://www.qsys.com/products-solutions/discontinued-products/), after checking the source terms. Preserve the stated status and any model-specific service conditions. Discontinued does not automatically mean unsupported. Each manufacturer format needs its own collector. The public view uses Raleigh venue categories or New York county and license-class filters. It shows dated public signals and official references. Research candidates still need verification. The private function adds your project records, watched accounts, review decisions, and history. ## The limits that shape the design Permit values do not establish an AV budget. A license does not establish a purchase plan. Missing coverage cannot be reported as zero projects. The public view excludes applicant and contractor names, license legal names, personal contact details, home addresses, and congregation data. A building-use label never becomes a record of anyone's faith. Source terms are checked separately for each territory. Chicago reuse terms remain unresolved in this design, so this demo starts with Raleigh and New York. No outreach runs automatically. A permit or license does not authorize contact.
