The brokerage name must be at least as large as the agent or team name. Check the rendered website, individual ads, and mobile layouts. Read 2026.10.11. ## Measure the name that visitors see LARA interprets type size using either of two measurements. The agent or team name's text block cannot exceed the brokerage name's block height. Alternatively, most letters in the agent or team name cannot exceed the point size of the brokerage name's tallest word. The guidance's second measurement refers to the “majority of the letters”. It does not establish a universal same-line or header-only placement rule. Broker or MLS requirements remain UNRESOLVED; confirm with your broker. ## Advertising supervision and approval MCL 339.2512f(1)(e) requires “written operating policies and procedures”. The supervision provisions also require regular communication, practice review, report review, and guidance. They do not specify a universal written approval form for every website edit. Administrative Rule R 339.22139(1) states: “A licensee shall not, directly or indirectly, misrepresent material facts.” Review listing descriptions and claims about which firm holds the listing. Request the applicable instructions before changing listing templates. ## Fair housing wording and logos MCL 37.2502(1)(f) prohibits advertising that indicates a discriminatory “preference, limitation, specification, or discrimination”, subject to the statute's scope and exceptions. Any additional program, MLS, or firm requirement remains UNRESOLVED; confirm with your broker. ## Keep the personal-property exceptions narrow Own-name advertising exceptions concern property a broker or associate broker “personally owns”, with licensed-status disclosure. A salesperson's sale exception concerns a “principal residence”; rental advertising concerns personally owned property.
