Require the report's definition before agreeing that your website needs a repair. Treat a customer rating, a vendor's composite score, and a security finding as separate pieces of evidence. Do not combine them into a business diagnosis without a stated method. ## Identify the report before accepting the conclusion Ask for the tool name, checked website, observation date, data sources, and calculation. Request the findings behind the number, including affected pages and any incomplete checks. Use this proposed intake sheet: | Report says | Evidence to request | | --- | --- | | Customers distrust the business | Named review source and dated observations | | The site may harm visitors | Specific security finding and affected addresses | | Search visibility is restricted | Relevant Search Console report and issue | | Business details disagree | Exact public listings and conflicting fields | | A composite score is low | Method, input data, weighting, and repair rationale | An unexplained score is a request for clarification. Keep the underlying issue unresolved until its evidence is available. ## Inspect security findings through the right source Google's Search Console Security issues report covers findings such as hacked content, malware, and social engineering. Have an authorized owner check that report when a provider alleges a Google security issue. Record the issue and sample addresses. Record which profile each report used and when. Check whether the report refers to the correct location. Read the substance of feedback before assigning work. A complaint about appointment communication may need an office change. A broken contact page needs a website investigation. Ask the responsible person to establish the cause.
