Consider Webflow when its content editing role and limited code export fit those requirements. Consider Wix when its demonstrated workflow fits and you accept keeping the working website on Wix hosting. Webflow permits code export on paid Workspace plans, but excludes CMS content and working form processing. Wix requires its servers to operate the website. These restrictions matter when comparing future replacement work. Ask for demonstrations using the access you would receive. Choose the proposal with evidence for the work you need. ## What can you edit without paying the builder again? Webflow's content editor role can change permitted text, links, images, and items in existing CMS Collections. Publishing requires the relevant permission. That role cannot change design structure, add custom code, or create new Collections. Webflow CMS Collections use a shared page template and content structure for their entries. Wix CMS collections store items in defined fields and connect those fields to page elements through datasets. Both provide documented ways to organize structured content. For a team, request a biography example with the correct contact destination. Check whether changing shared contact details requires editing every page. Demonstrate adding another entry and correcting it later. Prefer the proposal that makes your planned publishing work manageable. If you only need a few service pages, ask whether the scope needs a CMS. ## Where do seller and buyer inquiries arrive? Webflow documents configurable form notification recipients, message content, and reply-to settings. Wix Forms uses Wix Automations for notification emails and supports configurable recipients, including external contacts. Record the account holder, payer, renewal terms, cancellation effect, and remaining provider access. Require the agreement to name the supplied design files, content, licenses, and permissions. Do not infer contractual design rights from possession of a login. Request current vendor terms for the selected configuration. Compare the same billing period and required functions before accepting the continuing costs. ## Which will be faster on your agent website? Google's PageSpeed Insights reports mobile and desktop performance using lab and field data. Field data requires sufficient qualifying samples. Webflow's code export contains HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and assets. It excludes CMS content and functionality, site search, and form submission processing.
