Then consider another public crawl source if the missing material justifies technical recovery work. Choose the source around your task. Recovering approved copy, identifying an old URL, and restoring a functioning website require different evidence. Avoid buying an archive tool before deciding which of those jobs you need completed. ## Start with the exact missing material Create a recovery list with the old URL, approximate period, and reason you need it. Identify whether you need wording, images, a page layout, or a list of former addresses. Mark material the business still has permission to publish. Keep obsolete service terms and old contact details separate from current facts. A historical copy can help reconstruct a page without becoming approved copy for the new site. If the old URL is unknown, ask the business to gather records identifying it.
