Confirm the entity, site, and activities the claim covers. Ask the person responsible for the certification to approve the exact website statement. Give the builder approved wording and permitted artwork together. ## Distinguish the standard from the certifier ISO says it does not perform certifications. Its guidance says not to describe an organization, product, or service as certified by ISO. It permits fair references to ISO standards using their full reference. Ask that body or the certification owner to resolve uncertainty about the certificate's meaning. Keep an internal implementation project distinct from an issued certificate. Do not turn a planned assessment into a completed certification claim. ## Read the certificate's scope before drafting Use this proposed worksheet with the certification owner: | Field | Evidence or approval to obtain | | --- | --- | | Certified entity | Exact organization named in the current record | | Sites | Facilities covered by the certificate | | Standard | Full reference shown in the approved record | | Scope | Activities the certificate describes | | Issuer | Certification body and available verification route | | Status | Current dates and any qualification requiring review | | Public wording | Exact statement approved for the website | Have the responsible reviewer explain scope differences between facilities. Keep a location page from implying broader coverage than its evidence supports. Review product, safety, security, and service claims separately. Do not use a general management-system statement as the evidence for an unrelated promise. ## Check whose logo appears on the page ISO restricts use of its logo to ISO, its members, and technical committees under its policies. Ask the certification body which mark, if any, your company may use. Obtain its current artwork and usage conditions. Do not download a generic badge from an image search. Keep written permission with the website handoff. Require another review when a redesign changes the mark, accompanying text, or covered location. ## Find the repeated claims Search the homepage, facility pages, company page, footer, and downloadable capability sheets. Record each certification statement and badge. Compare them with the approved certificate worksheet. Identify an old standard reference, unsupported site claim, missing qualification, or unapproved image as a separate correction. Open any verification link and confirm that its label describes the destination accurately. Name who reviews the website when the certificate, scope, issuer instructions, or facility status changes. Keep unresolved claims unpublished until the responsible reviewer settles them.
