Use the practice's current availability wording. Keep a submission separate from acceptance for care, a place in a queue, or a promised appointment date. Start by asking the scheduling lead whether the practice operates a waitlist at all. Do not add one as a website feature before staff define how requests are reviewed and maintained. ## Write the administrative process first Ask who reviews requests, how availability is updated, and which approved contact method staff use. Record how someone withdraws or changes a request. Keep clinical fit and prioritization decisions with the qualified practice team. Publish a queue position or waiting-time estimate only when the responsible reviewer has approved its source and meaning.
