Confirm the current document, applicable requirements, and placement with the responsible privacy reviewer. Do not let a website template supply the practice's legal wording by default. Keep this job separate from writing a general website privacy policy or reviewing tracking tools. The publication brief needs the practice's actual approved notice and a plan for maintaining it. ## Confirm which notice the practice must provide The HIPAA notice rule has its own scope and exceptions. Have the responsible reviewer determine which requirements apply to the practice and approve the notice's content. For a covered entity maintaining a website about its customer services or benefits, the rule requires prominent posting and electronic availability of its notice. Give the builder the approved document and the reviewer's placement instructions. Keep questions about wording, exceptions, revisions, or other notice duties with that reviewer. This article concerns the website publication task. ## Identify the current document by its contents Ask the reviewer for the authoritative notice and its effective date. Compare that document with every version linked from the public site. If it is a file, open the actual public download. Check that a link labeled as the notice does not lead to an old document or a login screen. Have the reviewer approve how prominently the notice is presented. Keep an essential route available on a phone. Do not hide the only public link behind a submission step. Ask a document or accessibility specialist to assess readability and navigation where needed. Save what they checked. A successful download does not establish complete accessibility or legal compliance. ## Review links beyond the footer Inventory references from patient information pages, contact pages, intake instructions, and other public documents. Confirm that they reach the intended notice version. Give the builder a complete replacement list rather than only one footer edit. Keep completed forms and patient information out of the test materials. Check publication using the approved blank notice and ordinary public access. ## Assign updates to the privacy reviewer Name who supplies revisions and who verifies the published result.
