Gather the facts before choosing a template. Google's helpful-content guidance asks whether readers can find background about the author or publishing site, including through an About page. It also asks whether content demonstrates expertise and clear sourcing. Avoid turning the page into a list of unsupported superlatives. ## Gather a publishable fact sheet Ask the owner to approve the trading name, business history, current services, service area, and public contact route. Record where each claim came from. Leave an uncertain founding date out until someone confirms it. Separate the company's history from an individual's experience. If a founder worked in the trade before opening the business, describe those periods separately. It does not require you to publish private records or every employee's biography. ## Open with the customer-facing work Use the first paragraph to identify the business and the work it takes. Follow it with the area served or the type of customer helped. Replace broad claims such as “complete solutions” with the service names your team approves. A proposed structure is: “[Business] provides [approved services] for [customer type] in [actual area]. [Named role] handles [responsibility].” Replace every bracket before publication. This is a template, not a statement about a real company. Put a longer origin story after that explanation. Keep events that help readers understand the business today. Remove anecdotes that do not change the customer's understanding of your work. ## Make the people and proof specific Ask permission before publishing staff names, portraits, or biographical details. Explain each person's current responsibility. Link to a dedicated biography when the role needs more detail. For awards and certifications, retain the original issuing source. State what the award or credential covers. A company-wide badge should not imply that every employee holds an individual credential. Use permitted project evidence with a precise description of your role. Keep customer identities and results out unless you have approved publication material. Avoid filling empty space with invented testimonials. ## Connect the page to the service path Link descriptive phrases to the relevant services. Google recommends crawlable links and anchor text that helps readers understand the destination. Ask a reader unfamiliar with the company to explain what you do after reading the page. Have them find the relevant service and contact route. Revise the passages that leave them guessing.
