The list includes Astra, OceanWP, Divi, Avada, and default WordPress themes. Showcase IDX recommends avoiding real estate themes with competing property-search features. For your agent website, require a demonstration from property search through to a received buyer inquiry. Test the seller contact route separately. Use those checks to decide whether to keep your current theme or replace it. ## Which WordPress theme works best with Showcase IDX? The provider's list has no preference order. Its theme article was last updated in March 2023, and it says unlisted themes may also work. Treat it as a starting point for testing. Record the theme and builder versions in the website brief. ## Why a real estate theme needs a closer check Showcase IDX says it does not fully integrate with real estate themes' built-in search and property features. Its guidance calls for disabling those features so its widgets can function. Before buying such a theme, ask your builder to identify which features you would use and which would be disabled. Require a working preview of the intended listing pages. Judge the finished pages against your requirements rather than approving the theme name alone. ## Check the search-page setup before blaming the theme Showcase IDX's installation guide requires a default search URL and a matching WordPress page. It specifies the `[showcaseidx]` shortcode as the only shortcode on that page. It also warns against making that page the parent of Hotsheet pages. Have your builder compare the configured search URL with the published page address. Check the shortcode placement and page hierarchy. The guide suggests a text element first and a code element if the builder does not render it correctly. Record the actual search URL in your acceptance checklist. Open it directly and through your navigation. Repeat the route from the homepage if you add a search widget there. ## Diagnose unresponsive maps and buttons Showcase IDX identifies script minification as a possible cause of blank maps, unresponsive search buttons, and broken layouts. Its support guide directs users to inspect browser console errors before diagnosing the fault. Ask your developer to reproduce the failure in a test environment. Save the page address, steps, console error, and screenshot. Request a record of each change and its result. The guide recommends disabling JavaScript minification and clearing caches. It also covers host and theme optimization settings and warns against Cloudflare Rocket Loader. It specifically identifies Salient as incompatible. Confirm current support advice before purchasing or rebuilding around that theme.
