State which pages you inspect, what you deliver, how you record observations, and what the buyer can ask you to scope. Avoid an offer whose only deliverable is a promise to appear in generated answers. Give a prospective customer a concrete way to evaluate your work. Google states that its AI search experiences use existing SEO fundamentals and require no special AI file or structured-data type. Eligibility does not guarantee indexing or serving. Do not extend one platform's guidance to every answer system. ## Name the task the buyer receives Choose a specific deliverable your agency can produce. A proposed engagement might inspect a defined page set, record observed answer citations, identify supported content changes, and produce a repair brief. State what the engagement excludes. Separate research from implementation, ongoing monitoring from a one-time sample, and public-page inspection from private account access. Label a customer-supplied question, a search report observation, and an estimated keyword volume by their separate sources. ## Describe what you can observe If the offer includes answer checks, define the sample in advance. Record the exact wording, date, environment, answer, and linked source when present. Retain contradictory observations rather than selecting the strongest result. A citation observed in a sample establishes that observation. Keep it separate from reach, visits, inquiries, and revenue. Do not call an unobserved answer a verified absence across an entire platform. For a repeated sample, preserve the original method and note changes. Have the report state its limits in ordinary language. A buyer should be able to understand what was checked without learning your internal terminology. ## Make the reporting promise match the source Google says traffic from its AI search features is included in Search Console's overall Web search reporting. If your agency reports a narrower estimate, disclose its source and method. Keep unknown attribution unknown. On the service page, identify the difference between a search report, a recorded answer sample, and an inquiry received by the business. Give each a separate definition in the sample report. ## Show a permitted example of the deliverable Use a demonstration built from material your agency owns, or obtain permission for a specific anonymized example. Label the example accurately. Avoid invented customers or performance numbers. Show the question, evidence, limitation, proposed correction, and acceptance check. Explain what the customer can review before approving implementation. Keep source links beside factual recommendations. A sample that demonstrates disciplined uncertainty can still show useful work. Leave a claim out when you cannot support it. ## Set the next step without promising selection Invite the buyer to send their website, business question, and intended deliverable for scoping. Ask which decisions the work should support. Keep passwords and private exports out of the public form. State who approves public changes and what access the initial work needs. Keep publication and account edits as explicit tasks in the written scope. Before launch, review the headline, example, service list, and form confirmation together.
