Use the email form or copy your direct review-form link for a personal invitation. Zillow documents both methods. [Zillow's request instructions](https://zillow.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/228449828-How-can-I-request-a-review-from-a-client). Choose clients who had a real interaction with your real estate services. Zillow prohibits soliciting reviews without that interaction. [Zillow's review policy](https://www.zillow.com/c/info/review-guidelines/). For your own website, plan a separate route for prospective buyers and sellers. Put a clearly labeled review-source link beside your service explanation. Keep the contact option nearby. The website steps below are recommended acceptance checks. ## Check the client and the interaction before sending Match each proposed recipient to your own record of the work. Confirm who you helped, your role, and the buying or selling interaction. Use that check to avoid sending the wrong agent's link or describing services you did not provide. Zillow's policy requires relevant detail about a true interaction. It also permits withholding reviews involving family members, employees of the same company, or compensation. Leave those conflicts out of your request list. Ask for the client's own account of the service. Keep the rating and wording under their control. Zillow's request guide recommends asking during a transaction and after closing. Its examples include early service milestones, so its guidance includes requests before a completed sale. Keep property and transaction details accurate. Avoid supplying wording that presents an unfinished purchase as a completed closing. These are accuracy checks, not a claim that Zillow automatically matches a review to an MLS sale. ## Choose the request method you can track Start from your own agent profile. Check its public name before copying or sending anything. For the built-in email form, enter the intended recipients and check the past-client confirmation where it applies. Zillow's Help Center specifies that checkbox. It also documents a limit of fifty email addresses per day. Keep the request date and destination profile in your business records. For a personal invitation, copy the direct review-form URL from the request screen. Zillow instructs agents to send that link through their own email. The tracking difference matters: Zillow says its email-form requests appear in **Sent requests**, where submission and moderation status can be checked. Direct-link requests do not appear there. Confirm that the destination identifies you and offers the intended review form. If Zillow prompts for sign-in, let the client handle their own account. Stop before submitting a review during your link check. ## Keep the invitation short and leave the review to the client Identify yourself and the service interaction. Explain that you are asking for honest feedback. Include the checked review-form link and leave room for the client to decline. Avoid prescribing a star rating, supplying a finished review, or requesting a claim the client cannot support. Do not offer a gift for submission. Zillow prohibits compensated review solicitation and reserves the right to terminate profiles for enabling reviews that clients did not submit directly. Keep private transaction documents and unnecessary personal details out of it. Let the client describe the work in their own words. ## Separate a sent request from a published review Zillow screens submitted reviews and says moderation can take up to one week. A review that fails its guidelines can be rejected. That published timeframe describes moderation, not guaranteed publication. If a client reports a problem, record the submission date, profile, and error shown. Use the Help Center's support route for an unresolved issue. Check the public profile before treating the review as available website evidence. Keep invitation, submission, and publication as separate entries in your notes. ## Give review links different jobs on your website Distinguish the link for existing clients to write a review from the link for prospective clients to read feedback. Label each destination clearly. Keep review requests in your client follow-up materials or a dedicated feedback page. On your bio and service pages, propose a labeled link to the public Zillow profile. Zillow's terms restrict linking to its services from websites outside professional real estate or lending uses. Confirm that your site fits the linking condition. Start with the source link. Before displaying copied text or a widget, confirm permission for the exact method. For a separate website testimonial, ask the client to supply or approve material directly for that use. Keep their permission and approved attribution with your website files. Do not present separately supplied text as a Zillow-verified review. Place the source link beside an explanation of the services you provide. On the seller page, provide a route to ask about selling. On the buyer page, provide a route for a buying question.
