Build the FAQ around the terminology your dispatch team approves. Keep individual shipment status with the responsible office. ## Give date labels distinct meanings Ask dispatch to review every date label on the website. Include the estimate form, service FAQ, calendar, confirmation, and existing-customer contact page. Prepare this proposed date map: | Label | Meaning to approve | | --- | --- | | Requested pickup | Customer's preference submitted for review | | Requested delivery | Customer's preference or constraint | | Agreed period | Dates confirmed through the actual shipment process | | Arrival update | Current dispatch communication for the identified shipment | | Change request | Proposed change awaiting office review | Have the office decide which labels it uses and where. Use different requested pickup and delivery dates. Include flexibility and a question about an existing request. Require the recipient to identify each date and its status.
