Record the indexed version, current page behavior, and any search-exclusion setting. Give the builder a specific finding to repair. Choose one public service page first. Keep private client portals and record systems outside the request to make pages searchable. ## Distinguish indexed evidence from a live check Google's URL Inspection tool reports on an indexed version and offers a separate live test. The indexed report can differ from the current page. A live test does not predict Google's selected canonical. Use the exact URL, including the intended hostname and path. Do not compare a new page with the report for its old address. Keep account access with the owner. A website repair brief can use approved exported observations without sharing a login. ## Build a page-specific evidence sheet Record what each check establishes. Leave missing evidence unresolved until the responsible owner supplies it. ## Review noindex without disabling privacy controls Google says it must crawl a page to see its noindex rule. Blocking that page through robots.txt can prevent Google from seeing the rule. Confirm the owner's intent before changing them. Do not remove access restrictions from private billing content to pursue search visibility. If the exclusion was accidental, approve a bounded change for the specific public route. Check that the implementation leaves unrelated private systems outside the repair scope. ## Accept the repair before claiming an indexing result Ask for the changed setting, current response, and a new live observation.
