Distinguish the person performing a service from the person providing medical direction or supervision. Start with current practice records and official licensing sources. Do not let a team photograph stand in for an explanation of who a visitor would meet. ## Use the relevant licensing authority The Medical Board of California's med spa guidance advises patients to check who performs procedures and verify licensing status. It also discusses supervision and provider qualifications under California's framework. This is a state-specific example, not a national rule. Ask the practice's clinical and legal reviewers to identify the authorities and requirements that apply where it operates. Open the official record for each named provider before publishing a credential. Keep license verification separate from board certification, training certificates, and practice titles. Ask the appropriate issuing source to support each public statement. Do not infer that a course certificate establishes professional licensure. ## Build one evidence sheet per person Use this proposed worksheet to prepare the copy: | Biography detail | What the practice should supply | | --- | --- | | Public name and credential | Current official record and approved formatting | | Licensing status | Relevant authority, checked date, and matching identity | | Practice role | Current duties approved by the practice | | Service involvement | Which services the person performs or supports | | Medical direction | Approved description of responsibility and availability | | Certification or training | Issuer and evidence for the precise public claim | Keep private personnel documents in the practice's controlled system. Give the builder cleared public facts and approved links. Mark missing evidence UNRESOLVED internally and omit the unsupported claim. ## Explain medical direction without inventing availability Ask the practice to describe what its medical director does and how that differs from an appointment with a treating provider. Have the authorized reviewer approve any supervision statement. Do not imply that the director is physically present for every appointment unless the practice can support that exact claim. Avoid using one person's credentials to describe the whole team's qualifications. Name the actual provider-selection process. If staff decide who handles a request, say that in approved terms. If a visitor can select a provider, require the booking destination to demonstrate the supported choice. ## Check service pages and biographies together Create a list of pages naming each person. Compare titles, photographs, service descriptions, and booking labels across those placements. Ask the reviewer to check the complete presentation. A correct biography should not sit beside a service page that assigns the same person a different role. Resolve contradictory claims before launch. Keep candidacy, treatment selection, and clinical advice in the practice's clinical process. The public biography should explain identity and role without evaluating an individual visitor. ## Give staff changes an update owner Assign responsibility for changes in employment, duties, credentials, and locations. Include old service pages and linked booking profiles in that update checklist. Retain the approved biography version, evidence dates, and page inventory.
