A catalog page should explain the approved item and ordering path. A custom-work page should explain what your team will evaluate before quoting. Start from your actual offer. Do not add a product category because another manufacturer uses it. Confirm which products and processes you currently sell. Use your approved product and process records to supply that information. ## Give each page a distinct purpose Write one sentence describing the buyer's task for every proposed page. Merge pages that would supply the same answer. Separate them when the specifications, evidence, and next step differ. Keep family-level explanations on the family page and item-specific facts on the appropriate product page. ## Build standard product pages from controlled facts Ask the product owner to approve the public identifier, description, dimensions, materials, applicable variants, and documentation. Record units and document versions with the source. Distinguish current catalog availability from a stock promise. Publish stock, minimum order, or lead-time information only through the process your commercial team can maintain. Leave an unconfirmed value out.
