Name the product or work type, counting unit, and next step for a smaller request. Keep a minimum quantity separate from a minimum order value, pack size, setup charge, and requested production batch. Have the sales owner define each term your business uses. Leave an unapproved value out of the page. Use the following worksheet to turn existing commercial rules into public buying information. It introduces no industry-wide minimum or pricing benchmark. ## Start from the rule your office will honor Ask the commercial owner for the current rule and its scope. Record whether it applies to an item, variant, material, custom job, or order as a whole. Keep its review date and owner internally. Confirm whether buyers can combine eligible items toward a minimum. Ask whether samples, prototypes, repeat orders, or other exceptions use separate review. Do not infer an exception from a single past quote. If the office decides each request individually, say how to ask for review. Avoid publishing a fixed threshold that the team has not accepted. ## Give quantities an explicit counting unit Use a clear unit beside every approved threshold. State whether the number counts individual pieces, packs, sets, length, or another defined unit. Ask the product owner to approve this proposed content map: | Field | What to resolve before publication | | --- | --- | | Product scope | Which items or work the rule covers | | Counting unit | What the buyer is counting | | Minimum quantity | The approved amount, if fixed | | Packaging | Whether pack multiples apply separately | | Charges | Which commercial charges need their own explanation | | Exceptions | Who reviews a request outside the published rule | Keep the rule next to the product or quote action it governs. Link a shared explanation where useful, while preserving any approved item-level differences. ## Avoid a misleading price presentation Review the displayed unit price, quantity selector, and minimum together. Have the commercial owner confirm the total's meaning, currency, and included work before publishing any calculated amount. The FTC says advertising must be truthful and supported by evidence. It evaluates implied claims and material omissions as well as express statements. Do not advertise a low unit amount while leaving its essential order conditions unexplained. If price depends on review, provide an inquiry route instead of a fictional amount. ## Preserve the requested quantity in the inquiry Ask for the product reference, requested quantity, counting unit, and the buyer's question. Keep the original request when it falls below a published minimum. Let the visitor request exception review where your process permits it. Do not silently replace their requested quantity with the minimum. Use a confirmation that describes review rather than acceptance of an order. Keep confidential drawings in the approved exchange process. The quantity question alone should not require a visitor to publish production files. ## Test the published rule with the sales team Arrange marked requests for a normal order question, a below-minimum question, and an uncertain-unit question. Check that the receiving person can identify what was requested without guessing. Inspect the phone layout and visible labels.
