Publish your approved billing approach, the work included, and the conditions that change the scope. Use amounts only when your commercial owner supplies them. Choose whether the page can show actual prices or should explain the quote process. Either approach needs specific service boundaries. Do not copy a competitor's price into a package your team has never approved. ## Define the unit before displaying an amount Ask the commercial owner how the actual offer is billed. If it uses people, devices, locations, or another unit, define what counts. Record how the agreement handles changes to that count. Use this proposed worksheet before writing cards: | Pricing element | Decision to obtain | | --- | --- | | Billing unit | What the quoted quantity measures | | Included work | Tasks and service coverage in the named offer | | Required additions | Charges the buyer must consider with the offer | | Initial work | Assessment, onboarding, or remediation priced separately | | Agreement conditions | Approved term and payment wording | | Scope changes | How the firm confirms a revised quote | Keep the units consistent between the page and sales worksheet. Ask an unfamiliar reviewer to explain what a displayed amount would purchase. Revise the page when their answer exceeds the approved offer. ## Describe the boundary around a starting price If the firm publishes a starting amount, identify the service and assumptions supporting it. Put necessary qualifications close to the amount. Have the commercial reviewer approve the whole pricing card, including its button. The FTC says advertisements must be truthful, non-deceptive, and supported by evidence. Do not use “everything included” when your service catalog names exclusions. Ask the reviewer to identify which projects, licenses, site visits, or other items need separate agreement. These are questions to resolve from your offer, not a universal list of MSP charges. ## Explain how an unknown environment gets scoped Give buyers the next step for a quote when the firm needs an environment review. State the approved sequence and what the first discussion covers. Leave response targets and assessment duration unpublished until confirmed. Ask only for the initial context needed to decide fit. Consider approximate staff or device counts, locations, current concern, and a business reply route. Tell visitors to omit passwords and private system documents from the public request. A client support question needs its own approved route. ## Keep comparisons tied to the same scope If you show multiple packages, use the same row definitions across them. Have the service owner confirm the differences. Avoid a comparison that puts an undefined checkmark beside “security” or “support.” Distinguish a service description from an agreement commitment. Link to an approved explanation of the quote process. Keep any customer-specific proposal outside the public pricing page. For a calculator, require the commercial owner to approve the formula, inputs, output label, and assumptions before implementation. Do not call an indicative calculation a binding quote. ## Accept the page against the commercial record Compare every displayed price, billing unit, condition, and exclusion with the approved source. Inspect phone layouts so qualifications remain beside their amount. Check that old pricing graphics are removed from the affected pages. Arrange a marked test inquiry with the sales owner. Confirm that the received request preserves the selected offer and the buyer's original question. Record the pricing version used in the test.
