Identify the work, assumptions, and source behind each published time. Keep requested dates separate from accepted job commitments. Start with estimating and production. Ask them which timing information belongs in public and which can be established only after reviewing a job. ## Inventory the promises a buyer can see Read the homepage, process pages, quote form, confirmation message, and downloadable capability sheet. Include timing claims in badges and images. Copy the exact statement into the review record. Use this proposed timing worksheet: | Field | Question for the responsible owner | | --- | --- | | Work covered | Which jobs does this statement describe? | | Starting point | What event begins the stated period? | | End point | What event completes it? | | Required inputs | Which approvals, files, or other items must be present? | | Conditions | What limits need to remain beside the statement? | | Evidence | Which current record supports this wording? | Do not merge a quote-response target, machining duration, and shipping estimate into one undefined “turnaround” claim. Have the owner define the event the page means. ## Remove unsupported universal timing Ask production whether the statement applies to every job shown beside it. Review the effect of the page layout as well as the sentence. A broad headline may communicate a wider commitment than a qualified paragraph below it. The FTC reviews express and implied advertising claims and requires evidence before the advertisement runs. If the source supports no public time, explain how timing is established through estimating. Do not invent a typical delivery period to fill a design card. Keep any condition close enough to the statement to be read together. ## Label requested timing in the RFQ path Ask the estimator how the buyer should state a desired date. Make that request status clear in the field label. Preserve the submitted value without turning it into an accepted schedule. Have the provider inspect the rendered label and any help text. Keep optional timing questions optional when estimating approves that arrangement. Let the buyer state uncertainty instead of choosing a guessed date. ## Check the confirmation message against the real process Ask what the website has established when a request is submitted. Use a confirmation that matches that state. Avoid “your job is scheduled” when the system has accepted only an RFQ. Separate the buyer's requested date from any later estimate or confirmed commitment in the receiving record. Ask estimating to identify which controlled record supplies the actual quote terms. Keep a public request from reserving capacity automatically unless a separately reviewed system and business process explicitly support that behavior. Enter a requested date and inspect both the website response and the estimator's received record. Confirm that neither upgrades the date to a commitment. Check every timing claim against the approved worksheet on phone and desktop layouts. Include old PDF copies. Save unresolved statements as edits needed before publication.
