Name the issuing body, preserve the scope, and give buyers a route to request the permitted documentation. ISO develops standards. It does not issue certificates or perform certification. Start with your quality owner and the current records. This article does not verify a particular shop or certificate. ## Identify the subject of each statement Collect the certificate, any permitted verification link, and the issuing body's instructions for describing certification. Confirm which organization and location the record covers. Keep those facts separate from a claim about an individual part. Have quality approve any statement connecting a management-system certificate with a product or job requirement. Use the exact standard designation shown in the approved record. Avoid a broad “fully certified” badge that leaves the subject and scope unclear. Leave a certification unpublished when the current supporting record is missing. ## Build a public facts sheet first Use this proposed worksheet before drafting the page: | Field | What the quality owner confirms | | --- | --- | | Certified organization | Name exactly as recorded | | Covered location | Site or locations identified by the source | | Standard | Full designation approved for publication | | Certification body | Issuer named on the certificate | | Scope | Approved scope text and any qualifications | | Certificate reference | Identifier and relevant dates as recorded | | Status evidence | Current verification or issuer confirmation | | Sharing permission | Which document or extract may be public | Keep the website review date distinct from certificate dates. Do not renew a public status claim by changing the page's “updated” date alone. Ask quality to resolve discrepancies between an old PDF, a new certificate, and a directory entry. Leave the conflict open until the responsible source confirms the intended wording. ## Use verification routes accurately ISO identifies IAF CertSearch and contact with the relevant certification or accreditation body as ways to verify accredited certification. Avoid suggesting that the link verifies every capability or every item the shop produces. If a buyer needs documentation beyond the public certificate, offer a request route. Have quality decide what may be shared and through which process. Do not publish private audit material as an ordinary website attachment. ## Check images and downloads against the same record Review badges, footer graphics, process pages, and sales downloads for certification statements. Include image text in the review. Use certification marks only under the applicable issuer's rules. Obtain approved artwork and usage instructions from the responsible source. Do not create a new badge that resembles a certifier's mark. For a public PDF, provide a descriptive link and identify its subject. Compare the opened file with the page summary. Remove an obsolete public copy through the website change process after preserving the internal record. Keep the public file free of material that quality has not approved for distribution. Name who replaces it when the certificate changes. ## Give buyers a specific document request Offer **Ask about certification documentation** as a proposed contact action. Ask for the business contact, relevant process or requirement, and the document requested. Make uncertainty acceptable. Route the request to the approved quality or sales recipient. Do not let a visitor's dropdown choice produce a statement that a job meets their specification. Agree on acceptance evidence before publication: correct scope text, current approved file, working verification link, and a marked request received by the intended person. Check the page on a phone and with keyboard navigation. ## Assign the next review trigger Have quality notify the website maintainer when scope, covered locations, issuer instructions, or certificate status changes.
