Check the keyboard controls, image labels, and route to the project explanation. Decide whether the interaction helps the project story. Two labeled images can be your preferred layout when they communicate the change clearly. Put the visual treatment in the brief after selecting the material. ## Confirm what the comparison shows Ask the project lead to approve the image pair and its description. Identify the earlier condition and the later work. Keep a rendering distinct from a photograph of completed work. Use comparable views where the available material permits them. Explain differences in viewpoint or project stage that matter to the story. Avoid claiming a measured improvement from appearance alone. Supply approved captions, credits, and publication permissions. Keep the designer's contribution explicit when the work involved other firms. It treats this separately from keyboard accessibility. A keyboard equivalent alone does not settle the pointer requirement. Ask the builder to demonstrate controls that reveal each image through clicks or taps. Require keyboard operation separately. Write down the expected control behavior before selecting a plugin. An alternative could be buttons to show each full image or an equivalent comparison view. Have an accessibility reviewer assess the proposed implementation. Do not accept a plugin's general marketing claim as the test result. ## Distinguish a comparison handle from a rotating gallery A comparison handle reveals portions of an image pair. A rotating gallery presents successive items. Identify which interaction your design uses before choosing the checks. For a carousel, W3C calls for keyboard operation, communication of item changes, sensible focus management, and the ability to pause movement. Require the visitor to reach the comparison controls without being moved to another slide unexpectedly. ## Use an acceptance matrix Agree these proposed checks with the builder and reviewer: | Check | Evidence to request | | --- | --- | | Keyboard | Reach controls, reveal each image, and continue to the next page element | | Click or tap | Inspect the same image content without holding and dragging | | Labels | Identify which image and project stage are shown | | Movement | Stop automatic rotation if the design includes it | | Phone layout | Read captions and use controls without hiding the inquiry link | | Failed enhancement | Reach an agreed alternative when the interactive component fails | Use the actual approved image pair in the preview. Check credits and labels after responsive crops. Keep the project description readable outside the interactive component. ## Accept the project path as a whole Follow the route from the portfolio card to the comparison, project explanation, and inquiry link. Record failed steps and retest them after repair. Keep the chosen control behavior and reviewer findings with the website handoff.
