Check both results when agents share an office IDX website. IDX Broker describes a feature that uses a browser cookie to show an agent's custom subheader on the office IDX site. It also attributes the lead to the referring agent. Its documented entry points are the agent's biography page and IDX links carrying the assigned agent tag. The feature description does not establish how your account handles competing tags, missing cookies, or existing contacts. ## Map the referring agent to the receiving record Prepare one row for each participating agent. Record their public name, approved biography address, vendor-assigned tag, and intended inquiry destination. Have the provider supply the actual tagged links. Avoid guessing identifiers from a name, public profile address, or MLS number. Keep these identifiers labeled according to the vendor's terminology. A marketing tag and an MLS identity serve different tasks. Ask the provider to explain any mapping between them in your installation. Choose a default contact route for visitors who arrive without an agent reference. Make that destination explicit in the website brief. ## Inspect what the subheader says Approve the visible name, role, brokerage identity, and contact wording before testing assignment. Review these details against your broker's applicable advertising requirements. Write contact labels that describe the actual next step. If a coordinator receives the inquiry, have the approved wording explain the handoff. Do not accept a correct-looking header as evidence that the corresponding contact record or destination is correct. ## Agree on the difficult cases before testing Ask the provider to describe the expected outcome for each case. They describe no verified behavior of a particular account. Keep visual attribution, inquiry assignment, and any later CRM distribution rule as separate observations. Record where each decision occurs. ## Request controlled delivery evidence Arrange tests with the account owner and receiving agents. Use contact details you control and an unmistakable test label. For a clean-session check, ask the tester to begin without prior site storage. For a return-visit check, retain the agreed prior state. Record which condition applies. Open the supplied link, follow the search path, and inspect the identity shown beside the contact action. Submit the agreed test and compare the received record. The acceptance record should include the entry address, expected agent, observed header, recipient, and date. Redact personal information and account secrets from shared screenshots. Include the expected behavior rather than changing multiple assignment settings at once. ## Include agent departures in the handoff Agree what happens to an agent's old tagged links and biography after departure. Identify the person authorized to approve a replacement destination. Repeat the default-path and old-link checks after that change.
