Require the seller or buyer question to appear in the correct form's submissions and reach the person responsible for answering. HubSpot's WordPress embedding guide covers existing legacy forms. It explicitly says forms made with the updated editor cannot currently be embedded on WordPress pages or posts. If your form uses the updated editor, have the maintainer resolve that documented limit before accepting an implementation quote. The checklist describes proposed acceptance checks, rather than results observed on your website. ## Confirm the accounts and the supported route Record the WordPress website, intended HubSpot account, existing form, public page, and person receiving inquiries. Have the maintainer show you those destinations before connecting anything. Keep credentials out of the ordinary website brief. HubSpot requires a HubSpot Super Admin and a WordPress administrator to install its plugin. It directs you to check the installed WordPress version against the plugin's current requirements. Ask your host to confirm plugin installation is supported on your actual subscription. Record who controls both accounts and who maintains the connection after handoff. Require access through your business's approved accounts. Keep the form method explicit. The legacy WordPress procedure, an existing third-party form, and a general external embed need their own supported instructions. HubSpot's newer editor documentation describes external embed code, but that does not resolve its WordPress-specific exclusion. Open **Plugins > Add New** in the WordPress administration dashboard. 2. Find **HubSpot – CRM, Email Marketing, Live Chat, Forms & Analytics**. 3. Select **Install Now**, then **Activate Plugin**. WordPress documents the same Plugins > Add New, Install Now and Activate sequence. Select **Log in to your account** and complete the account connection. HubSpot also notes that installation requires third-party cookies and that a multisite network needs activation for each site. The plugin automatically adds HubSpot tracking code to WordPress pages. Before proceeding, ask the maintainer to demonstrate the connected account and intended form. Keep an account mismatch open until corrected. Record the connection date and technical owner. ## Place the existing legacy form on the inquiry page Choose the exact seller, buyer, or property page before editing. Record which existing form belongs there. Keep a recognizable inquiry purpose in your acceptance worksheet. For the Classic editor, HubSpot documents **HubSpot > Forms**, then **Embed** beside the existing form. Select **WordPress short code**, copy it, and paste it into the page or post editor. For Gutenberg, the guide describes adding a **HubSpot Form** block and selecting an existing form. It also flags inline-JavaScript removal in newer Gutenberg versions and possible responsive-styling work. Have the maintainer assess those conditions against your editor before publishing. Check the question field, reply details, instructions, and submit control. Require a complete, readable form in the agreed layout. For a seller page, agree what question the receiving person needs to answer. For a buyer property inquiry, agree which property reference must survive submission. Recipients must be active account users. Publish the change with **Update**. Each recipient also needs form-submission notifications enabled in their user settings. In **Settings > Notifications > Email & Desktop**, find **Form submissions**, select the required notification types, and save. The contact-owner notification option sends nothing when the contact has no owner. For your acceptance check, name the intended recipient and inspect the actual configuration. Record who investigates a missing notification. Avoid accepting an enabled setting as evidence that a message arrived. ## Match the test inquiry to its submission and receipt Agree controlled contact details and a recognizable test question with the recipient. Submit through the actual public page. Save the page address, time, inquiry purpose, entered values, and visible result. In HubSpot, open **Marketing > Forms**, then **Actions > View submissions** for the intended form. Open the matching entry with **View submission**. **View object records** provides access to associated CRM records. Viewing submission data requires **View forms** permission. Use this proposed acceptance record: | Check | Evidence to retain | | --- | --- | | Correct website and account | Public page, connected account identity, and selected form. | | Captured question | Matching submission time, test question, and usable reply details. | | Preserved context | Seller purpose or buyer property reference compared with the entered value. | | Recipient receipt | The responsible person's confirmation of the matching notification or agreed receiving view. | | Phone and desktop use | Dated observations from the same published inquiry path. | Keep each unresolved check assigned to a person. Repeat the affected test after repair. Retain the original failure beside the later received inquiry. ## Investigate the last confirmed step If the form fails to display, HubSpot recommends testing its standalone page before investigating the embed. Its troubleshooting guide also checks tracking code, altered embed code, and interference from the surrounding page. HubSpot says to add the external page's domain as an additional site domain. Submissions from an unlisted domain are marked as spam. Have the maintainer check the actual public domain when a captured inquiry is missing from the expected view. For a saved submission with no email notification, inspect recipient status, notification preferences, published settings, and mailbox filtering. HubSpot also documents default Email-field and associated tracking-cookie conditions for submission notification emails. Ask the maintainer to show which condition applies before naming a cause. Require a matching received test inquiry after the correction. ## Review visitor data and scope the website repair The form tool may process visitor data. The plugin also adds tracking code, so include that behavior in the privacy review. Inventory the submitted fields, saved entries, notification mailboxes, and people with access.
