Specify your own listings, the office's listings, or another approved selection. Give the section a label that accurately describes that choice. IDX Broker describes active featured listings as properties associated with you or your office that are available for sale and display through IDX. The following workflow helps an agent and website provider agree on selection and acceptance. Confirm the actual capability and permitted wording for your own setup. ## Name the selection before choosing the layout. Write a short rule explaining why a property appears. For an agent section, ask which MLS agent identifier supplies the selection. For an office section, ask how the office is identified. IDX Broker documents automatic selection using an agent ID from its MLS data. Its feature page says matching listings populate the featured-listings page. Confirm the relevant identifiers in your account before relying on that behavior. If the selection includes listings beyond your own representation, make that relationship clear in the proposed wording. Keep unresolved attribution requirements with the broker and MLS. ## Separate a featured section from a neighborhood search. A curated neighborhood collection and an agent's own inventory have different selection goals. Describe the intended goal before requesting filters or a carousel. Use an agent or office label only when the actual selection supports it. For a neighborhood collection, specify the geographic boundary and permitted property criteria. Record the account, component name, source rule, and page where it will appear. IDX Broker documents widgets generated in its control panel and added to website pages with supplied code. Its documentation also describes preview and editing controls for legacy widgets. Ask the implementer to identify the current widget type before following version-specific instructions. Request a record of any custom styling and the location where it is maintained. Do not treat a screenshot as the implementation handoff. ## Check the section against a known property set. Choose approved examples with the broker. Choose an approved message and next action for an empty section. Consider a link to general property search or a way to ask about your service area. Avoid silently replacing an empty personal-inventory section with unrelated properties under the same label. Require a wording change if the fallback changes what the section represents. Name who checks this state after an agent or office change. Include the source-selection settings in that review. ## Keep the inquiry attached to the property. Inspect the path from the featured card to the property page and contact action. Ask for a marked test using details you control. Verify that the intended recipient receives the property reference and submitted question. Save the page address and receipt.
