Inventory your dental practice's existing profiles before creating another one. Identify whether each listing represents the office or a named dentist, then compare it with Google's practitioner rules. Use this guide to prepare a correction brief. It does not determine eligibility for an individual account or authorize a profile change. ## Check the practitioner conditions first Google says a practitioner should have a public-facing role and be directly contactable at the verified location during stated hours. A practitioner should not create separate profiles for different specializations. Keep support staff outside the proposed practitioner list. Do not create a profile merely because a name appears on the Team page. ## Match the practice structure to the policy For multiple public-facing practitioners at one location, Google distinguishes the organization profile from practitioner profiles. It says a practitioner profile's title should contain the practitioner's name rather than the organization's name. Its solo-practitioner guidance recommends a shared profile when the sole public-facing practitioner represents a branded organization. Leave uncertain cases for the authorized profile owner and platform support. Record apparent duplicates separately until the owner confirms their status. ## Give each website destination a clear job For the practice profile, propose an office page with the approved address, hours, contact route, and current team. For a practitioner, propose a biography that identifies their actual office and how to request an appointment. Keep treatment descriptions consistent with the dentist's approved scope. Remove departed staff from appointment choices after the office confirms the change. Have the receiving team approve any statement about who will treat a new patient. A corrected biography alone does not establish that a profile has been updated. ## Check the appointment path before accepting the work Open the destination from the recorded profile link. Read the dentist and location information on a phone. Follow the appointment request route using a clearly marked test approved by staff. Confirm that the request reaches the intended office with the selected provider preference intact. Treat provider preference as a request unless scheduling staff confirm an appointment. Save the tested URL, date, and receiving person's confirmation.
