Require evidence of completed work and a clear handoff if you change providers. Compare those commitments before choosing by monthly price. WordPress recommends backing up before an update. Its backup documentation says a typical full restore requires both files and the database. Use those requirements as the starting point for your care proposal. Ask each provider to apply them to your actual website. ## Compare coverage against your website's job Give each provider the same page list and inquiry destinations. Include your seller-service page, buyer contact form, and property-search route where applicable. Keep unresolved inquiry delivery and recovery items open before signing. ## Require inquiry checks after relevant changes Gravity Forms documents notification settings, routing conditions, and sending-result notes. For a property inquiry, require the agreed property reference too. Save the page address, test time, submission result, and matching receipt. If a test fails, request the last confirmed step and the person investigating the next one. Keep the fault open until a repeat submission reaches the intended destination. Ask your provider which settings apply to your installation. Require a procedure for checking the site afterward. Ask whether each incident qualifies for emergency support. Include a weekend inquiry failure if weekend coverage matters to your business. Require the provider to distinguish acknowledging the ticket, beginning diagnosis, restoring service, and resolving the underlying fault. Ask which commitments apply to each stage. Record the support hours, time zone, reporting channel, and escalation contact. Ask who receives monitoring alerts and who acts on them. Define what happens outside covered hours. Require confirmation of any authorization or spending limit for emergency work. For suspected compromise, ask whether investigation, cleanup, recovery, and follow-up checks are covered. Obtain the excluded work and its approval process in writing. Use the incident examples to compare proposals without assuming every provider offers the same protection. ## Confirm exclusions before comparing the total cost Request a written covered-and-excluded list for malware cleanup, pre-existing faults, custom development, content edits, and third-party integrations. Ask whether paid plugin renewals, hosting, IDX subscriptions, and delivery services are included in the quoted charge. For IDX, name your provider and required buyer-search behavior. Ask who handles a failed search, opens the vendor ticket, and verifies the repair. Keep new IDX installation and feed approvals in their own scope. For content, ask whether correcting an agent bio differs from adding a neighborhood guide or changing a page layout. Require the provider to explain what counts toward any included work allowance. Get current terms for your chosen configuration before comparing costs. If you already have hosting support, ask both companies to mark their responsibilities on the same checklist. Name the person coordinating an incident that involves both services. ## Request proof that describes the completed work WordPress identifies hosting, configuration, software versions, and image sizes as performance factors.
