Check the current platform documentation before accepting that part of a website proposal. Keep useful questions and answers on the site. Judge them by what a driver can learn and the estimate question they can send to your shop. ## Use the current FAQ rule Google's documentation changelog says FAQ rich results stopped appearing in Google Search starting May 7, 2026. An older article describing eligibility for government or health sites is historical guidance. Ask a vendor to identify the current source for any proposed search-display benefit. Keep the visible FAQ and the structured-data implementation as separate review items. The absence of that search feature does not prevent you from answering customer questions on your website. If markup already exists, ask the maintainer to inspect it and document the proposed change. Avoid treating removal as an automatic ranking improvement or deleting unrelated markup in a broad cleanup. ## Ask what the proposal will change Require a concrete list of visible content and implementation work. Use this proposed comparison sheet: | Proposed work | Question to ask | | --- | --- | | Write visible answers | Which driver questions are currently unanswered? | | Correct factual claims | Who supplies and approves the shop's process details? | | Add or update markup | What current purpose and source support the change? | | Repair inquiry links | Where will an estimate question arrive? | | Report success | Which observed checks establish that the work was completed? | Leave unsupported display promises out of the accepted scope. Ask for the page addresses and acceptance checks instead of a count of schema fields. Keep any other structured-data recommendation separately explained. This checklist addresses the FAQ search-display claim, rather than every type of website markup. ## Improve answers the front desk can verify Collect the questions your office chooses to answer publicly. Proposed subjects include how an assessment starts, where to arrive, who handles an open repair question, and what the office needs first. Have the responsible staff member supply each answer. Keep claims about insurance, repairs, credentials, and timing tied to their appropriate evidence. Do not invent a universal answer because the page needs another question. Combine repetitive entries and make the next action clear. Link a longer explanation when the answer needs context. Confirm the same answer is available without completing a lead form. Follow the estimate or service-contact link from the relevant question. Use a labelled test with your own details and verify receipt at the intended destination. Accept the work against corrected answers, working links, and documented implementation changes.
