Review public access and search visibility as separate tasks. Ask the project lead to confirm which material should remain private. Keep the removal brief free of copies of the sensitive plans. Use file addresses and controlled internal references for the work record. ## Identify the file and its public copies Record the exact document address, the page linking to it, and who controls the storage destination. Ask the maintainer to check for additional copies and alternate addresses. Include public project sheets, old media-library uploads, image previews, and downloads linked from biographies. Have the project lead distinguish approved portfolio material from documents that were never cleared for publication. Give an outside host a separate correction request through the business's approved process. ## Protect the source before closing the search task Google distinguishes removing a page from search results from controlling access to it. Its guidance says a noindex instruction does not stop users accessing the page. It describes removing or updating content and password protection as permanent-removal options. Require a check of the exact file address without authorized access. Keep the project team's permitted working copy in its approved private system. Do not accept removal of the download button as the full access check. The acceptance record should address the file destination and every identified public copy. ## Treat search-result removal as a separate work item Google's Removals tool provides temporary search-result removal. Google says a permanent result also needs a supported action on the content. It recommends protecting or removing all relevant address variations. Have the authorized search-account owner handle that request. Save its date and the affected address. Record the public search result separately from the file-access result. Avoid a promised disappearance deadline in the studio's repair brief. Check the actual result and keep any remaining surface assigned to an owner. ## Repair the portfolio path Update links on pages the studio controls. Replace the removed material only with a document or project explanation approved for public use. Review downloadable brochures and old project references after the main page is corrected. Record unresolved outside copies rather than treating them as fixed by a website edit. ## Accept access and visibility separately Require the maintainer to record each tested file address and its resulting access behavior. Require the search-account owner to record the search recheck.
