Use the approved website snippet. Review the services and claims around it. Google permits only Partners and Premier Partners to display the corresponding badges. Its website rules require the HTML snippet on the company website or additional websites listed in Company details. A downloaded marketing image alone does not meet that website rule. An old image in your media library is insufficient evidence for keeping it live. ## Ask the account owner for current evidence Have the person responsible for the program confirm the exact company, current status, and website listed in the account. Keep that confirmation with the website change request. Record the public page where the badge appears and its intended destination. Review footer copies, service pages, downloadable credentials sheets, and mobile layouts separately. Remove an unsupported badge from the proposed design until the account owner resolves it. Do not substitute a staff qualification for evidence of company status. Ask the owner to identify exactly what each credential represents before writing the caption. ## Keep the badge within its documented meaning Google prohibits using the badge to imply sponsorship or endorsement of your products, services, or information. For materials advertising SEO services, its rules require a prominent notice that those services are not verified or endorsed by Google. Cut language that extends program recognition into guaranteed search positions, exclusive access, or approval of every service you sell. If you also publish an SEO offer, put the required notice into the design brief. Follow its link while signed out. Confirm that the destination identifies the intended company. Check the page on a phone. Require the notice and agency name to remain readable. Ask the maintainer to identify any fallback used when the badge cannot load. Keep that fallback free of unsupported recognition claims. Save the date, page, destination, approved wording, and reviewer.
